Ala C exhibition Project
The so-called Ala Cosenza is the expansion of La Galleria Nazionale, designed by Architect Luigi Cosenza in 1956. Since then, the history of this building located at the rear of La Galleria Nazionale has been filled with all kinds of events. These incidents, one after the other, led to the closure of the building, left unfinished in 1998.
In 2016, La Galleria Nazionale started a project to restore the ruin and reactivate its use through interventions.
This project is currently exhibited in the Corridoio del Bazzani, an exhibition that presents photographic documentation ranging from its state of abandonment in 2016 to its current recovery.
The exhibition includes models of different proposals made between 1982 and the present day, including a model of a speculative project done for the building.
